STEP 3

Meeting between Search and Screening Committee Chair, Department HR Liaison and IFAS HR prior to advertisement of position to discuss HR perspective and search and screening tutorial questions

Dept./Center Personnel Liaison initiates

Have screeners complete search and screening tutorial (using Internet Explorer or Safari only, login to MyTraining at mytraining.hr.ufl.edu and search for course code PVO800).

 

(Non-UF search committee members will need to be added to myUFL as a Person of Interest ) in order to view the training and applicant pool

Search and Screening Chair initiates

STEP 4

IFAS HR will post approved position on Careers at UF and obtain requisition number to be placed in all other announcements. Will automatically post on IFAS Personnel Website.  Will only place ad in The Chronicle by specific request.

IFAS HR initiates

STEP 5

Public Meeting Notice posted on dept/center website and in a location that has public access. Post 3-7 days prior to search committee meetings

Search and Screening Chair initiates

STEP 6

Final Search and Screen Committee Meeting:  establishes short list of candidates; submit Short List Form to Dana for review BEFORE candidates are invited for on-campus interviews (tenure track positions: interview with all 3 Deans, regardless of TRE split. Non-tenure track - interview with lead Dean only)

STEP 7

Request position closing date (email Dana) if position was posted as open until filled.

For REC Directors - discuss final decision on candidate for position offer with the relevant academic department chair prior to contacting Dean.

 

All unit leaders: discuss offer with lead Dean PRIOR to negotiations; forward position announcement and position request form to Dean

Hiring Authority in Department initiates

STEP 9

Letter of Offer: must contact Susan Hudson for letter template prior to issuing

REC Director initiates

STEP 10 (if applicable)

If hiring a Foreign National, complete a Notice of Job Availability and post for 11 business days within hiring department. Post in two (2) places, eg., mailroom, breakroom, center if applicable. Send copy of completed form to HR-ICS

Dept./Center Personnel Liaison initiates

Submit Careers at UF Closeout Form to Dana LeCuyer (contact info above)
